Our Independence is Our Promise to You.

You might be surprised to learn how John McGivern's Main Streets is made. It’s a common belief that PBS or the charming towns we feature foot the bill (because for some shows, that's how it work).

The truth is, they don’t.

This isn't a challenge;

it's our commitment to you.

By remaining proudly and independently funded, we make a promise that our stories will always be driven by pure curiosity, not by a town's budget or a sponsor's agenda.

It's how we stay free to discover the real, hidden gems and share the authentic stories of the people you’ve come to love. This freedom allows us to create the show exactly as it’s meant to be seen—

unbiased, heartfelt, and true.

But that independence comes with a shared responsibility.

We don't have a large network budget. We have something more powerful: a direct partnership with our viewers.

What Does It Take to Create a Season of  John McGivern's Main Streets?

It takes a small, passionate crew and a whole lot of heart. It takes a full year of planning, traveling, and crafting to bring 13 episodes to your screen. Before we even film a single scene, our team dedicates three months to research and planning. Then, we hit the road. It's a journey of thousands of miles, hundreds of interviews, and countless hours of work by a team that believes in the power of positive storytelling.
